Incident On The Right Of Way, by Anneka Lowrie is now available at all major retailers, in paperback and eBook.
A storm-swollen creek reveals a decomposed body beside a rural gas pipeline, igniting a volatile mix of environmental politics and corporate pressure. Johanna Kincaid wants no part of the investigation—until a grieving father begs her to find his missing son.
As Johanna applies her expertise in human behavior and grounded ancient practice, the truth emerges: the narrative has been engineered. The trail winds through small-town loyalties, corporate agendas, and environmental activism, revealing greed as the hidden constant. When Johanna’s own daughter joins a forensic DNA tracking team, the stakes turn personal. Incident on the Right of Way is psychological suspense where nature becomes evidence—and truth makes enemies.
Book 3 introduces new along with several returning characters who share the ethics and deeper sense of justice demonstrated by series protagonists, Johanna Kincaid and Angelique Boudreau from earlier books.
Both Trace Helberg (Pennsylvania State Police trooper) and Kaye MacKenzie (emergency telecommunications specialist) appeared in the first book, A Convergence of Crows. Circumstances have pulled them into working together along with Cecile Martel (retired ATF field agent) and her service dog, Wu. In Book 3 you will also meet Cecile's security analyst, Anatole Beguine, who handles the technological details.
This band of fierce women who join forces when their unique skills become needed is rounded out with the return of Nadine Lawler and Dr Anita McNee { Book 1}. These women unexpectedly find themselves in dangerous situations, yet they're prepared to survive at all costs. They face seasoned criminals and powerful individuals shielded by privilege and prestige. Their unique skills include psychological assessment, investigatory expertise, forensic analysis, tactical awareness, marksmanship and the wisdom practices of ancestral insight.
The team is diverse; both culturally and philosophically. Independently, their skills are not nearly as powerful as when they're combined.
